Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

When we try to merge a document from a custom module, we get get this error

"We ran into a problem while trying to initiate a Mail Merge."

No explanation. Just try again later.

No further information on what might be causing this error.

Mail merges have been running perfectly up until today.
