Using the Set Criteria in lookup fields

Using the Set Criteria in lookup fields

Dear Support and Forum

Despite having worked with Zoho Creator over the last few months I am still unable to think how to use the "Set Criteria" in look upfields to restrict the number of entries in the lookup field.

The box says "please specify deluge criteria below. If no criteria is specified, all entries will be shown. "
However, I am unable to find any examples of the kind of deluge scripts that will work here. Can anyone point me to an example which will help me understand how this feature works?
