Want to change date/time fields to date fields

Want to change date/time fields to date fields

In the early days when I developed my trademaster, I defined some date/time fields for such matters as ship dates, etc.

In fact these should be date fields.

Now I have the nuiance of always have values like 03-12-2009 19:03:00 when exporting to an excel sheet.

I want eagerly to change such fields to date fields.

However, it seems impossible now - since I have data in these fields. More importantly, these fields are referenced in other objects, so the system doesn't allow me to alter the fields without first deleting such references. This means a major re-scritping which I cannot affort.

Dear Zoho team, is it possible for you to help me find a compromise - change these fields without losing all data, and without having to delete their references?
