ZC Plugin for Word escaped characters

We've noticed that when importing Zoho information into Word using the ZC Plugin for Word, special characters in text fields are rendered using slash-escaped characters. Sometimes this causes information to go missing entirely.

Would it be possible to modify the plugin so that it is able to take the text field content from ZC and convert it into a Word-compatible format so that it appears in the same manner as it does in Zoho?
