Zoho DB Import function

I really like the potential of the Zoho Database, but unfortunately I can't get the import funstion to work correctly to add data. It seems strauightforward enough, but if I try to cut and paste the cells directly from an Excel .csv workesheet, I get errors from the .xls and .tsv options, and only the first field is picked up in the .csv mode. Do you have any explanation as to what I am doing wrong, or how to correct it? I couldn't find anything regarding any other means of using this function.
