Invite new user/resend
I haven't had much success adding users to my Creator app. I have the most basic subscription (no profiles). Here are the steps I take: Go to app setting, add user in "Users and Permissions" tab Go to the share tab of app settings, add user to the top level of the app Click Dashboard. Click "Share" on every object and paste in the username. Go back to "Users and Permissions" and delete the user because of what I read in this thread I have successfully added users in the past but I'm not sure how.
Linking Multiple Application
Hi Support, I have two Applications, App1 and App2. In App1 i have form called Form1 and in App2 i have form called Form2. In Form1, i have Name1, Email1 and in Form2, i have Name2 lookup field to Name1. I have succefuly done scripting for linking two apps, for example, in App2, if i select the Name from list, i can get Email2 automatically. But what I am trying to do is, when user loads the Form2, based on User login email id it need fetch the name from App1 and input in Name2. I have done this
Error Handling Best Practice
In a large and complex ZC app with functions often being called 2 or 3 levels down, is there a best practice for error handling? I think there are at least 3 requirements: 1) A status message - text to describe any warning or error condition [or indeed success]. Because the message may be produced 2 or 3 function calls down, it must percolate back up and be displayed properly to the user. 2) A status code - that can be tested to see if the function status is anything but 'Success' and may dictate
Is There A Version Variable? And Related Wants ...
Is there not a way to incorporate a "version" into the application so that in the future as users needing help that they can refer to a "version" number found by some means? (perhaps coded into report footers as an option) I'd also like to incorporate this "system variable" into various custom report templates so the user knows what version they are on and can compare to the version that might be on the marketplace. Granted, I have not yet delved into application distribution via Zoho Marketplace
"Set Filter" works in it's own form but not when it is a subform.
I have a form called Accounts_Form which includes subforms created from existing forms: Add_Edit_Sites (bidirectional link to Accounts_Form) Add_Edit_Contacts (bidirectional link to Accounts_Form) Add_Edit_Contacts has a Lookup field called "Sites" which looks up site names from Add_Edit_Sites and has a "Set Filter" (see screencap) to filter out only sites with the same account name from the Accounts_Form. Many to many relation in Parents to Children tables
I read in some older posts that this may not be possible, but i wanted to see if there is a work-around. I have two forms, one "Parents", and one "Children". A Parent record can have multiple children, but one Child can also have multiple parents (father and mother). So far I have setup a Main form "Parents" with a subform "Children". This seems to work only one to many since I cannot lookup existing children records in the subform, only add new records. Does this sound familiar and is there a work
SEARCH and SIGN IN
I have been having one separate database (all the same) that I can post that will not allow anyone to make any changes, AND one for only me to post and add and make changes. All of a sudden, all of my databases would come up as SEARCH ONLY (including me) which is what I want. And off to the right would appear SIGN IN. I could sign in and I could make changes but others still could not. Today, this all changed back to requiring me to have the two different databases to post. What happened ? I want
importing a spreadsheet
Are there restrictions to importing data from a spreadsheet? I am importing a spreadsheet from Google Sheets which has multiple tabs. On the import, certain tabs are missing columns. Does data generated from a formula not import? Are there other types of data that do not import? Scott
Send Mail on success issue
I have created a on success email script but it is not sending. Log says an error has occurred. None of the To and CC addresses received an email. here is the test in the mail script.
Fetch record, subform to subform.
I have a Form with a Subform . I do a fetch data from another subform (subform where I want to get the information is a subform blank, no way). When I make the fetch fetch only becomes the first entry in the first inning and need: First entry - first entry Second entry Second entry ... etc Would like to know if there are other ways to do this THAN A FETCH. Feature or Solution Request: A non-cubersome time field
Hello I created a simple time clock app for a client that allows them to enter and clock in and clock out and then auto calculate hours worked. Currently using the date/time field. I am getting so many complaints on the hard to use time entry (i.e. clicking and or dragging to get hours and minutes) Does anyone have a more elegant solution? Dear Zoho: Please consider fixing this, hardly usable in my opinion.

how to define openURL function with ID of current record
In my reports i want a VIEW button to show the record much like the "View Record" button does in the most left column. Just to have a quick link to view the record in a popup. My function looks like this: void view_tmrt_record() { openUrl("/record-summary/test_report/"+ input.ID +"/", "Popup window", "height=500,width=500"); } but it gives the error 'variable ID not defined' . Show list of potentials from CRM in Creator form
Hello, I'm very new to Zoho Creator. I am building some apps that I want to work alongside Zoho CRM. The first feature I need is to be able to select a relevant potential for an account that I have already selected in creator. So I have created a "Zoho CRM" field called Customer in my form. here I will choose the relevant customer. I have 3 forms 'Add Employees' with user name and user initial, 'Add Property' with Property code and Managed By (this is a lookup of user initial) and lastly a 'Add Job' form which has some text fields, property code (lookup on Add Property.Property code) and Managed by text field. Cancel Submit Inside of If Else If Question - What happens?
What happened when Zoho encounters a "Cancel Submit" inside of If, else If validation logic? Does the code leave the If branch and abort the remainder of the code? I'm working on a stateless form and want to go through each field (about 8 fields) and insure the proper data is there, looking for nulls, duplicates, etc. I just want to be aware of the best way to abort the Submit at any point along the way, and NOT deal with the remainder of the checks down the code. EDIT: I now learn "Cancel Submit"

We have several forms with one main form. We want to have the ability to show one of the other forms for data entry from the main form if they select certain criteria. I have not been able to get this to work
Subform not appearing in report, but is part of the form
I have a subform that is part of a main form. The subform appears on the main form and works. But when I open the report corresponding to the main form, there is no subform shown. What possible reasons could there be for the subform not to display on the report when it is visible in the main form? Sorry if this is a real basic question, but I am new at this. Thanks.

Is there a way to get the most recently checked value in a multi select checkbox? I need to execute some code that depends on the most recently checked item in a multiselect checkbox. Hi, Using a custom button in a stateless form I am not being able to change the value of any field in the form through the "on click" script. Say for instance the script below.
