Deduplicating/merging duplicate contacts based on more than just email/company/phone/mobile
The current function does not pick up secondary emails or names, this is crucial as most contacts have more than one email address, so after an import, there are often double entries for the same person just because they have more than one email.

I'm finding deduplication is only successful on the website version of Zoho CRM. When our consultants are entering leads or clients via the mobile apps or the Outlook plugin they are not prompted that the company they are entering is an existing contact in the CRM. Deduplication -why the change and why changes are not communicated
Hi I noticed today you have changed the set up of the De-Duplication - why would you not advise people of these changes? The layout is not very user friendly at all. I'm not sure why the old way had to be changed. It was visually easier to see why certain fields were duplicated as we would duplicate contacts for various reasons (because your CRM doesn't allow for a contact to run across multiple accounts) I would suggest with things like this to open up to users and actually see if its better -
Ability to select and merge accounts like on Zoho Desk
It would be useful if we could merge client accounts in the CRM like we can with tickets on Zoho Desk. What's the best option to integrate the ZOHO CRM with either MailChimp or Campaign Monitor? I would like to integrate also custom fields to segments or groups of the mailing list. What kind of data can I push back to the ZOHO CRM? Except the opt-out etc. I am testing Piesync, Cazoomi and Kloudconnectors. All of them, have limited functionalities in terms of what sending back to the CRM. Thoughts?

Is it possible to copy a section from one section to module using custom functions?
Hello, I have created a new section called XYZ in my leads module. The section has 10 fields. I want all the fields in the section XYZ inside my leads module to be copied to the potential when the lead is converted. It would be ideal to be able to have the same section XYZ in the converted potential. This is why the question asks if a "section" can be copied.

Hello Team, I have a workflow automation rule and a lead assignment rule. The Workflow automation rule runs when a criteria is met in the data submitted in the form and it updates a field of Lead accordingly. Based on this updated field the lead assignment rule is supposed to run. However, this is not happening. Apparently the lead assignment rule is running first and then workflow automation rule. Hi, I am a new user to Zoho CRM and am evaluating it as a replacement to our in-house CRM. One of the requirements we have is the ability to control the visibility of records based on the sales pipeline. Emails - just list all together NOT Emails Sent form CRM/ Zoho shared users
We have to click on each user or click back to sent from CMR. All emails sent to that client should list there and not separately. I have to look through each user or the Sent from CRM area to make sure I am not duplication an email taht was sent out of the CRM or by another user. You could still use the sent by column to separate these but All emails should list as one list not separate lists. Thank you

email with imap settings since today (4 august 2016)
Hi since today the emails are not working. When setting up the imap settings it says "authenticating" for a few minutes and then gives an error "server disconnect" it has been working until this morning... I have tried on several browsers and have alsy "disconnected imap" and tried to enter everything again .. but it gives the same result every time. PLEASE HELP URGENTLY! thank you

Disable changing owner of a record.
What would the setting be to disable the users from changing the owner of a record? I have seen this setup on accounts before but cannot replicate it. For instance I have a user locked down to only see their records, but they can change the owner and turn off access to that record. Any ideas?

Webform to Lead Updates
Hi there! We have recently updated our Leads layout and now want to switch the webform we set up on our website to dump the new leads into the new layout. I've updated the webform to pull information from the updated layout, completed the webform, and used the 'source' code to embed into my website. Logging an activity without sending a e-mail
I'm taking a look at Zoho. If i log an activity and add contacts to it Zoho will send all the contact a e-mail. Contact not associated when creating an event
Hello, When I create a new event from within a task using the right panel, the task's contact is not automatically associated to the event and I have to select the contact again in the event popup. When I add a new call or a new task it works fine and the contact is associated whith the new recored, but not when adding an event. Did anybody have the same issue and found a work-around ? emails that are not kept private in a multi-user environment
In a multi-user Zoho environment, I share the Accounts with all users. Although all privacy settings are set correctly, I have found that when I send an email to an Account, via the CRM, that the emails are visible to other users. Zoho's customer support's response was to send those emails via another email provider, such as Zoho mail. It would be great if there was a way we could rate our clients in the CRM for internal purposes! I.e. Star ratings or smilies - similar to how you rate feedback after chatting with us Companies like Uber have adopted this kind of technique. It just helps users gauge how reliable a client is / how good the experience has been in the past :)

Working uploadFile example anywhere
Hi everyone, I saw a lot of posts concerning the uploadFile method for the Zoho CRM API, all of them saying it doesn't work quite well. Now I can't believe that this would in fact be broken since all those years (some posts dated back from 3 years ago). Does anyone has a working example of how to use the uploadFile method ? Appointments and sheduling
I thinks that many people would agree that making appointments within the CRM module is pretty horrible. With multiple engineers on the road it is a night mare. If you use seperate accounts for them then you can not on a mobile device look at all appointments for the day. Also finding the next available appointment by location does not seem possible.In fact the location field is next to useless as it cannot grab info from the connected contact. I appreciate zoho might not get the service engineer
