Zoho Support Delays
I have 2 problem reports open for 5 days now. Except for the usual ' we got your request' email there is total silence! We only use Zoho CRM for a month, Is that what I have to expect from Zoho?
Assign Leads
Hi, I wrote a function to assign Leads . I use the crm.updaterecord function crmUpd = zoho.crm.updaterecord("LEADS",Rta.get(0).toString(),{"Lead Owner":"Alejandro Enrique"}); The update was successful , but the owner not change . The "Modified By" field is updated. The user "Alejandro Enrique" exists and Rta.get(0) is a valid ID. That is wrong ? Regards Alejandro
Territory Selection Drop-Down Problem
Hi. When using the territory selection drop-down, I used to be able to select, for example, "North America & Its Subterritories" from a secondary drop-down. (See attached document). Now when I try to do so this secondary drop-down disappears. I thought this could be browser related (I use Google Chrome), so I tried Firefox and IE to no avail. Question about APIs getSearchRecords and searchRecords Methods
We still use old getSearchRecords Method because searchRecords Method couldn't search partly value of the field: (field_name|contains|*sometext*) It was so few month ago... Can searchRecords - find fields by (field_name|contains|*sometext*) criteria?
Paste e-mail addresses to add contacts to campaigns?
I can't seem to figure out how to do this easily, but the only way to add contacts to a campaign through various uploads or checking them off in the "Existing Contacts" dialogue? Seems like there are lots of web apps out there that let you simply paste a list of e-mail addresses into a window and that gives you your list. I'd love it if Zoho could implement this, unless it's already there somewhere...
Deactivate Workflows
Is there any way to temporarily deactivate certain workflows? I am attempting to import a large number of items that could potentially trigger tasks to be assigned.

Help with customizing searching
I am trying to make a list of different industries i have as leads. my issue is that i can only see 100 at a time and in some industries there is 100's of businesses that fall under that industry. Does anyone know how to make it see 1 of the industries at a time?

Default Date field on a web form
Hi, I have a hidden field on a form which is a date field, I want the field to default to the date the form is submitted. Workflow not sending emails
I put on my website a "new lead" form and additionally I configured a workflow to send a "thankyou" email when a new lead comes from website and the rule should be applied only when a lead is created and not edited. But in my case, I set in config to aprove each lead before, in order to avoid spammers. The problem is that the email has not been sent and I have no idea why. Moving between free and paid CRM versions
Hi all, what happens with functionality available for paid users when moving back to free edition? For example, I want to create new fields in modules - which I can do as a paid version user. But in the case I downgrade to free edition, will the previously added fields disappear? Same about roles that can be more than two in paid version. Best Practices for tracking client activities
We have individual contacts who attend our various trainings and events, and we'd like to be able to show the history of attendance on the client record. What's the best way to do this? We're not using Zoho CRM for event registration or anything, so would we create a bunch of events and then attach individual contacts to them? Could all of this be handled with an import of some kind? Curious about the workflow for others in similar positions.

I need to be able to track: 1) What services I am proposing to a potential client 2) How much work (variable monthly retainer or set number of hours depending on job) I am proposing for that particular service. Here's an example: If I am proposing a landscape job to someone I might quote them $XXX (hourly rate) for an 8 hour job. I might quote them a flat fee of $XXX for a job.
