20+gb gmail box, can't use Gmail integration without a hefty cost

We just signed up six users for Zoho CRM and would like to be able to send messages from gmail to accounts in Zoho. The POP3 functionality requires that all mail is ingested into Zoho which means that we would have to buy a ton of extra space for every user. Are there alternatives such as forwarding mail or a third party application out there? We used Cirrus Insight for Salesforce to accomplish this...until today.
