A New Bunch of Enhancements for a Better CRM

We bring to you enhancements in various areas across Zoho CRM including Zoho Survey integration, inventory management, activity management, visitor tracking and website integration. Read on to know more!

Automatically update CRM records with Survey Responses
Zoho Survey integration with Zoho CRM gets more powerful with the introduction of this new feature. Besides viewing Survey responses contextually, you can now have your CRM fields updated automatically with the appropriate Survey responses. You can also automate post survey actions by creating suitable work flow rules that will be triggered when a field is updated with the response.

For example, a contact replies to a question "How would you describe our sales reps communication skills?" with "Excellent". "Excellent" gets updated automatically in the Contact's record as the value for a CRM field called "Sales Rep's Communication".

Extending this further, you may also configure a workflow rule such that upon this field update a promotional email is automatically sent to the contact. This entire process can be automated with the help of the automatic record update feature powered by Zoho Survey integration with CRM.

Enhancements in Inventory Management
Earlier, while adding products in an inventory module, you had to enter at least 3 characters to bring up the product in search. Now, typing just one character will suffice. It will bring up the required product.
Also, you can point your mouse to the Info icon next to the product to see the Business Card view of the product. 
 
Links for Webmaster and Free Setup and Training
Once you have integrated Zoho SalesIQ with Zoho CRM and before any website visits are recorded, you will now see two links in the Visits tab.


Free Setup & Training: Click this link to access training material on Visitor Tracking.
Send to Webmaster: Click this link to send the Embed code that you have generated to your Webmaster.

Custom Modules Get Webform Support and More
Web forms, assignment rules, auto-response rules and approve records features have now been extended to custom modules as well.


Sorting Order Retained in Related Lists of Modules
Earlier, when you sorted records in the Related Lists of any module, the sorting order was not retained if you navigated to another page. You had to sort the order again whenever you visited the Record's details page. 

Now, the sorting order will be retained till the next time you reorder it. The order is not lost on navigating to a different page. Also the sorting order you have set for a related list under one module is applicable for the same related list in any other module. 

For example, in the screen shot below, the records in the Open Activities Related List of a contact has been sorted in the ascending order based on the Due Date. Similarly you can sort this based on any column and the sorting order will be retained. 

This feature is user specific - if you have sorted records based on Due Date, another user in your CRM account may sort records based on Subject and the order will be retained as per each user's preferences.
