Accessing multiple mail accounts

I've been using Z Business for quite a while and think it great. I've just had the opportunity to host my mail domain with Z Mail which has triggered a few questions.
I have followed the setup instructions and changed the MX records on my host's DNS. I have validated that is ok from within Z Mail domain setup.
I created 3 new virtual users in my organisation, lets say 'one', 'two' and 'three', in addition to my current one.
So now I want to change my mail settings so that I can access all of these 3 new users' inboxes from my account.
At the moment, I have configured my mail settings to pull/push emails from my existing POP3 provider (works fine) & to access my gmail account (works fine) now I want to add the 3 new inboxes to my list.
So at the moment in my Z Mail client, I have 3 inboxes: one for my native zoho user id account (which I don't use), one for my existing pop3 account, and the other is my gmail accout. I just toggle between which inbox I want to read/reply to mail from. Works fine for me.
Now I expected to be able to create a further 3 inboxes that I could access like the first 3. However I can't configure the new pop3 accounts to access these 3 new virtual users, even though I used the pop.zoho.com & smtp.zoho.com settings as I might if I were using another email client. Zoho mail configurator didn't like that. I'm stuck
How do I do that?

ps. One last thing. the 3 virtual users I set up, were new users to my organisation.....do they need actually need to be real zoho users? with zoho login accounts? If so, how would I get access to their emails then?
