Activities report that captures BOTH Calls and Events within a specific date range?

Activities report that captures BOTH Calls and Events within a specific date range?

Hello--I have been unable to generate an Activities report that captures both Calls and Events/meetings within a specific date range. 

I have created a custom report ("MarlenesActivityReport") that I would like for one of my sales representatives to use to generate reports on calls and meetings(logged as "Events") that she has done within a specific date range, such as the past week. 

It looks like Calls can be displayed in this report by setting the Filter Options field to "Call Start Time" OR Events (her meetings) can be displayed by setting  the Filter Options field to "Event End DateTime" -- but I'm not able to get a report that displays both Calls and Events. It looks like I don't have a way to set the Filter Options field to capture both Calls and Events. 

I need an easy way for my sales rep to generate an activities report that shows both Calls that she has made over the past week, as well as Meetings/Events that have been completed over the past week, and for these to be in the same report. Any ideas?
