We hope you are doing well.
We would like to submit a feature request regarding "Projects Bot" Cliq bot notifications for @mentions inside Zoho Projects comments (Tasks and Issues).
Current Behavior:
At the moment, when someone mentions us in Zoho Desk, the Deskbot in Zoho Cliq sends an immediate notification, which works very well and greatly improves responsiveness.
However, when someone mentions us inside Zoho Projects (for example in a Task comment or an Issue/Bug comment), the "Projects Bot" Cliq bot does not send any dedicated @mention notification.
This creates an inconsistency between products and makes it easy to miss important internal communication.
Why this is a problem:
In real project workflows, @mentions are usually used for urgent attention, clarifications, approvals, blockers, or handoffs.
Without a dedicated Cliq notification for mentions:
- Important requests can be missed
- Team response time becomes slower
- Developers and PMs need to manually monitor task comments
- The experience is weaker compared to Zoho Desk
- Cross-product workflow consistency is broken
From a UI/UX perspective, users naturally expect the same mention behavior across Zoho apps, especially when both already integrate deeply with Cliq.
Requested Enhancement:
We kindly request that the Zoho Projects bot in Cliq support dedicated @mention notifications, similar to the current behavior in Zoho Desk.
This should ideally support:
- @mention alerts from Task comments
- @mention alerts from Issue/Bug comments
- Direct deep link to the exact commented item
- Clear indication of who mentioned the user
- Optional notification preferences for mention-only alerts
Benefits:
- Faster response to important comments
- Better collaboration between developers, PMs, and QA
- Reduced chance of missing blockers
- Consistent Desk + Projects Cliq experience
- Stronger internal communication workflows
This would be a small but very impactful improvement to daily team collaboration.
