Adding chapters to existing courses

Is there a way to place lessons in chapters after they have been created? I
It seems that you have to add chapters in advance at the point of course creation, but how do you add chapters into existing course, or for example, if a course grows over time adding in lessons, to be able to place them in chapters after the lesson content has been created?
