Adding Notes functionality to the Vendor module

Adding Notes functionality to the Vendor module

I want the same Notes capability in the Vendor module as is in the Contacts module, i.e., the ability to add a note and the topic/details/date automatically form an ongoing list. Is that possible? I couldn't find anything in the manuals or knowledge base.
