Summary
Zoho Mail already lets organization admins delegate a user's mailbox to another user directly from the Admin Console — no approval from the mailbox owner required (Users > select user > Mail Settings > Delegated to > + Add).
Zoho Calendar has no equivalent. Calendar delegation today is entirely user-initiated: the calendar owner must go into their own calendar settings and manually share or delegate access. There is currently no way for an org admin to configure or manage calendar delegation on a user's behalf.
Requested Functionality
- Admin-initiated delegation — Allow admins to delegate a user's calendar to another user directly from the Zoho Calendar Admin Console, following the same path pattern as Mail (Users > select user > Calendar Settings > Delegated to > + Add).
- Selectable permission levels — Support admin-assigned delegation with the permission tiers already available in user-initiated sharing: View Free/Busy, View Event Details, Edit Event Details, and Delegate/Manage.
- No owner approval required — When delegation is set up by an admin, no approval should be required from the calendar owner, matching existing Zoho Mail behavior.
- Central management view — Give admins the ability to view, modify, and revoke any calendar delegation across the organization from a single admin view.
Why This Matters
This brings Calendar delegation controls in line with Mail delegation controls, which is especially valuable for IT admins managing access continuity:
- Covering for an employee who is unexpectedly out
- Offboarding a departing employee while preserving scheduled-meeting visibility
- Granting a manager or assistant standing access without relying on the individual user to configure sharing themselves
Admins can already do all of this for Mail. Calendar is the gap. Bringing the two products to parity would close a real operational hole for organizations that depend on the Admin Console as the single point of access control.
