Alarms in CRM Mobile

Is there any way to create a timed reminder or alarm or popup notification for a task or event in the iPhone app version of the CRM? It seems like a pretty basic and elementary function to create some kind of reminder of an event at a specific time, but the only option for receiving any kind of notification for an event created from the iphone app seems to be an on/off switch for an email notification, and it seems the email is generated approximately at the time the event is created. If it's something happening 2 or 3 days from now, then receiving an email about an event I just created minutes ago is completely useless, and there seems to be no way to create an actual reminder 30 or 15 or 5 minutes before the event, other than adding a separate calendar entry to my phone, which is redundant and defeats the purpose of putting the event into the CRM.

Am I missing something here?
