Aliases. Troubleshooting.

Ladies and Gents,

I'm struggling a little with aliases. I've just changed our domain, and tried to update our e-mail addresses, with the old email address as an alias. 4 out of the 5 accounts seem to have worked no problem, except one keeps giving an error message.

I've tried to switch ' Ben@barearmsarmoury.co.uk' to ' Ben@barearms.co.uk', when I get the error:

The email address is already registered with another account which is not a part of this organization.

I found a mistaken invitation to use the alias that I was trying to create, and I have deleted it, but it still won't let me use the alias. Instead I have had to use bags@barearms.co.uk whilst I figure it out.

So my questions are as follows.

1) How do I sort it out?
2) Will the old address, now the alias, autoforward to the new address?
3) I've tried to delete the old addresses as aliases, and it won't let me. Why not?
4) When I start a new e-mail, it gives me the old address, now the alias as the default 'from' address. How do I change that?!
