All emails in my inbox have been deleted and keep being deleted

All emails in my inbox have been deleted and keep being deleted

I have suddenly lost all 1150 emails in my inbox and new emails are continuously being deleted from my inbox.These are very important emails and I should be grateful if they can be retrieved and the problem investigated with a view to a permanent resolution.
