We would like to submit a feature request regarding the project tab (module) order for Client Portal users in Zoho Projects.

Current Limitation:

As of now:

• Internal users (admins and employees) can reorder project tabs/modules based on their preference
  
• Client Portal (external) users cannot reorder tabs at all
  
• There is no option for admins to predefine or enforce a tab order for portal users
  

This creates a gap in usability and control over the client-facing interface.

Why this is a problem:

In real-world usage, the Client Portal is a customer-facing product, not just an internal tool.

A common scenario:

• We invite clients to the portal to track progress, tasks, issues, and updates
• We want to present information in a clear, logical, and guided structure
• Different tab orders can confuse users and reduce usability

Since portal users cannot customize their view, and admins cannot define it for them:

• The interface may appear disorganized or non-intuitive
• Important modules may be buried or overlooked
• There is no way to align the UI with business workflows
• It creates an inconsistent and less professional client experience

Requested Enhancement:

We kindly request the ability for admins to define and enforce the tab (module) order for Client Portal users.

This should ideally support:

• Setting a default tab order at the project level
• Applying the same order to all portal users
• Optionally defining different layouts per client or portal profile
• Ability to lock the order (so portal users cannot change it)

Benefits:

• Better client experience and usability
• Full control over the client-facing interface
• More professional and structured project presentation
• Reduced confusion for external users
• Ability to align UI with business workflows

This enhancement would improve Zoho Projects as a client-facing collaboration platform, not just an internal project management tool.
