Allow Automatic Emails to be Sent When Potentials are Uploaded

We automatically upload quotes with a value of >=$5000 to the Potentials module to make it easier for our sales team and improve the quality of information.

What I REALLY, REALLY want to do is send an automatic email to the Potential Owner and the Potential Owners Manager when these are uploaded to alert them that they have been added. It works when someone adds them individually. I have since learned that the automatic send does not work when Potentials are uploaded, only when they are added individually. This makes absolutely no sense to me as it defeats the purpose of making the information timely and relevant; it is frustrating for me and the users of our ZOHO system.

Is there a way to do this that I have missed? Could this be incorporated into a future edition?
