Allow Shopify / marketplace orders to be cloned
Many businesses now use Shopify as a B2B ordering portal, not just a D2C ecommerce website.
For B2B businesses, once these orders are imported into Zoho Inventory, Zoho often becomes the main system used to manage purchasing, stock, fulfilment and customer service.
Allowing imported Shopify orders to optionally be unlocked would help with:
- cloning repeat wholesale orders
- seasonal reorders
- creating similar orders
- adjusting orders as part of normal B2B workflows
I understand why Shopify orders are locked by default, as for many D2C businesses Shopify should remain the source of truth.
A simple setting in the Shopify integration would solve this:
Shopify Order Management Mode:
- Locked: Shopify remains the source of truth (current behaviour)
- Unlocked: Zoho Inventory becomes the source of truth after import
This would allow both D2C and B2B businesses to use the integration in the way that best suits their workflow.
