Approval Notification Question

When our Sales Engineers want to change an account rank, their Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is required to approve it. So, I decided to test the approval process in Zoho.

First some background:
  • We have three Regional Sales Managers (East, Central and West), each of whom have 6 to 7 Sales Engineers that report to them.
  • Within Zoho, I have the set up the roles for Sales Engineers-East (Central or West), along with roles for RSM-East (Central or West), so the Sales Engineers report up to their respective RSM.
For Zoho accounts/contacts/potentials/etc. this works as intended. However, when I set up the test approval process all of the RSMs get notified when someone requests a change, not just the specific manager. Currently, the approver is set to be RSM-East OR RSM-Central OR RSM-West, which I think is causing the issue. I set it up this way thinking that only the specific RSM would receive notification based on the Role and Hierarchy.

Would I need to set up an individual approval process for each RSM? Or is there another recommendation.
