Archive Email - Inbox

Hi there - I have completed a process of "Archive" in my Inbox and other mail folders. When I click the "View All" on any of my subfolders I see the option to see the Archived messages and it works fine. However this option is not available to me on the Inbox itself, yet the messages prior to the archive date I set are also no longer visible. Can anyone assist?
