At the beginning of this year, we announced the availability of API v.2.0 and the depreciation of v1.0 on December 31st. We're now in the deprecation phase of API v1.0. The reason for this transition is that API v2.0 has superior features. These are a few ways that v2.0 improves upon v1.0:

  • Increased daily limits for API calls (1,000,000 calls per day) 

  • Multiple DC support 

  • REST standards adherence

  • Easy JSON parsing 

  • A new API dashboard with better usage analytics 

  • Introduction of API names 

  • Introductions to connections and functions 

  • Support for Mobile SDKs, JavaScript SDKs, and Server Side SDKs 

 

Zoho CRM's managers will chair this month's Q&A forum. This will be an open house where you can ask questions about the migration from API v1.0 to v2.0.
