Assign a Contact to a Prospect-related Workflow Task

Why doesn't a Prospect's "Contact Name" get automatically assigned to a task that is created via a work flow rule?  This would mean much less clicking around from the home screen to get the phone number and e-mail address to follow through with a task.  It happens when you create a task from a Prospect's page, so it would make sense if it happened automatically too.
