"Assigned to" field linked to Workflow Tasks' "Assigned to" field possible in Tasks and Events?

"Assigned to" field linked to Workflow Tasks' "Assigned to" field possible in Tasks and Events?

Is it possible to have an "Assigned to" field in Task and Events? I know I can make a "custom" field, but that's not what I want to do: I want to have it be the same "Assigned to" field that is in Workflow Tasks. Otherwise, when the workflow task is automatically assigned via the workflow rule, we cannot see who is responsible for that task in the Task and Events list. We have to manually add the person who is responsible in the Task and Events list, but this is not something we have the time to do every time a task is automatically generated via a workflow rule.
