I'm migrating from Slack to Cliq. My Business version of Slack provided all Private and Public Channels, as well as Direct Messages (i.e. chats in cliq). However, on Step 3 of the migration, I am told to either assign all the Channels to the "Organization" OR select a Team.
This is not going to work, because I have a Private Channel for my executive team that should be assigned to my Executive Team in Cliq. I have a private Payroll & Benefits channel that should be assigned to my Payroll team in Cliq. The list just goes on and on.
So...I asked support if I needed to perform multiple migrations based on the specific teams to get the Private Channels assigned accurately from the beginning to keep them Private/Closed. Cliq Support told me NOT to do that, as it could cause duplication and that would not be good. The solution given was, assign everything to the Organization and go one by one and close the Private Groups post migration.
I do need a better solution, because I'm risking exposing HR/Payroll data (as well as a lot of other sensitive business data) to the whole company. That is a lawsuit waiting to happen.
Any suggestions and tips? I would like to request that the option to select the Privacy level of every individual Channel would be very, very helpful when migrating.
