Assigning workflow to an event

Hi there,

I am working with a client who delivers hot lunches to schools, on a weekly or monthly basis.

There are several activities associated with the service, such as booking the date of the lunches, developing menus, distributing orders, and email reminders to the school administration at certain milestones.

I am wondering if workflow can be automated based on an event?

Alternatively, should we be considering projects to handle this capability?

The processes are repeated 10 times per year for a minimum of 20 schools, so automating in some way would be super fantastic!
