Associate Price Books and Accounts for Quote Generation
We are new (30+ days) to Zoho CRM and are having a lot of success getting it implemented, but there's one nagging item that our salesmen are complaining about.
We have created 3 price books. We need 3 books because we are a manufacturer and we sell to DISTRIBUTION, INSTALLERS, and END CUSTOMERS, depending on the sales situation.
When a quote is started for an account, the first PRODUCT in the Product list can get inserted into the quote, then the QTY, and then we have to look up which Price Book we want to choose. That isn't a problem if you're just selling one item to the customer, but in our case we are typically selling 10-15 different items at a time. Currently, for each new item that is added to the quote, you must look up with Price Book to use. That can cause a LOT of problems.. .customers can every easily get the wrong price for one or more items.
What we need is the ability to associate a customer(account) with a price book, so each time a new item is entered in a quote, we know that the right Price Book is being used. (We shouldn't have to select a price book for each item, every time.
Help? Any suggestions out there? There's got to be a way to do this... we just can't find it.
