Auto number - strange format in my report

I am having trouble displaying the correct format of an Auto Number field that I have in my Leads module when I generate a report on that data. In the View the field format is correct, however when I create a Report over that data, the field format is very different.

This field is called 'Identifier' and it is an Auto Number field sequentially increasing in value, with a prefix on the front. So the number correctly appears as follows in the view: "ID-1234". However, in the Report over that record (or any other lead record), it is a very long numerical figure, eg: "51721000000335041". I expect to see "ID-1234" in the Report as well for that field. This same thing happens when I try to export that report to Excel.

Is there a way that I can get ZohoCRM to display that field correctly in the Report over that data?? Anything I am doing wrong? Any work-arounds if this is a known issue?
