Auto Welcome Email to those that register off our form.

I'm looking to create a welcome email back to those that register for our events after they fill out the form and submit it. I'm looking for this to be automated so as someone registers, it will kick out and email back to them of all the details for the event and a thank you for registering. Can anyone help me with this, I think I can do it but might need some guidance.
