Automate customer follow-ups with Sequences in Bigin

Automate customer follow-ups with Sequences in Bigin

Greetings,

We hope you're all doing well! We're happy to announce a new feature that we've added to Bigin.

Following up with every lead at the right time can be challenging, especially when your team is managing multiple conversations across emails, calls, and tasks. To help you streamline customer engagement and ensure no opportunity slips through the cracks, we are introducing Sequences in Bigin.

Alert

It is currently available in the US, CA, and SA DCs. It will be released in other DCs by next week.

What are Sequences?

Sequences help you automate series of follow-up actions for your records. Unlike traditional automation (which executes actions in a fixed order), Sequences can adapt based on how customers interact with previous follow-ups.

You can build automated multi-step engagement journeys based on triggers such as:
  • Emails sent

  • Tasks completed

  • Calls made

Each follow-up can trigger the next action based on specific outcomes, such as an email being opened, a task being completed, or a call being answered.

For example, after sending an introductory email, you can automatically create a task for a sales representative if the customer doesn't respond, schedule a call if they show interest, or send another email with additional information.

What problem do Sequences solve?

Sales teams often rely on manual reminders and repetitive follow-up activities to engage prospects and customers. This can lead to:

  • Missed follow-ups

  • Inconsistent communication

  • Delayed responses

  • Lost sales opportunities

Sequences help solve these challenges by enabling follow-ups to adapt based on customer behavior.

How to get started

To create a Sequence, navigate to Setup > Automation > Sequences and click + New Sequence. Start by selecting the module and enrollment type that best fits your business process.

Once the Sequence is created, you will be taken to the Sequence Builder, where you can design your follow-up journey. You'll accomplish this by configuring automated actions that execute when emails are received, tasks are completed, or calls are made (depending on the selected module).

Once you configure your initial follow-up, then you can add subsequent follow-ups and define the trigger conditions that determine when each step should be executed.

After completing the configuration, publish the Sequence and begin enrolling records manually, in bulk, or through automatic enrollment.

Additionally, you can:

  • Set up automatic enrollment using custom views.

  • Clone Sequences.

  • View performance reports and analytics.

  • Configure un-enrollment preferences.

Who can access Sequences?

Sequences are available only in the Premier and Bigin 360 editions. The number of active Sequences you can create and the maximum number of follow-up actions allowed in each Sequence depend on your subscription plan:

Notes

Note:

  • Emails sent through Sequences count toward the Automation Emails sending limit.

Thanks and have a good day!
