bad french translation

Hi,
I am reviewing VO and as I am french I have chosen the french language... I am sorry but it is hardly useable as-is because it seems like an automatic translation and it is horrible, some of the expressions are just un-understandable and we have to go back to the english user interface to be able to understand the application.
Is there a file somewhere that we can just edit in a text editor in order to correct this ?
