HI, we really need a basic report that sorts all open sales orders by Item, so you can see which items in your inventory are awaiting invoicing. Then you need a filter by customer, so you can see all the items a particular customer is waiting for. daily, I get questions from customers asking, which items are on back order/ on sales order. All I can do is find a list of all open sales orders for that person, and I then need to open each sales order,  and write down the items on that sales order that are still to be invoiced, I cant even export the sales orders and do an excel report.  So, I have no  easy way of telling the customer what they are owed?  

Similarly, if we had the report that sorted all open sales order by item, when a particular item came into stock you could see all the sales orders that were awaiting that item. 

You have the committed stock report, but it is totally useless, as it is just a list of sales orders, and none of the same items are grouped together. so you cant find all the same items that are awaiting invoice.  

So then you go to the item in question, and you can see that there are 10 of that item 'committed' but there is no way of telling who/ where they are committed too. This annoys me every single day. Why tell me there are items committed and unavailable to sell, if you cant tell me how they are committed to.

I asked these same questions on Zoho analytics, and they could not help. Zoho is an inventory system, but we cannot really see what is going on with our inventory- what is out of stock, what  people are waiting for, or what each customer is waiting for. This is extremely disappointing as I could do all this on quick books in 2-3 clicks on reports. I have been struggling along with Zoho inventory for a yearn 15 June, and although it has many great features, these are basic inventory statistics that any business would want.
