I have an idea of how I want to break out account industries down but want to make sure my reason for doing so shouldn't be done in another way and make sure I'm using best practice.
Our line of work is pretty much geared towards a small group of industries (less than 5). Then within those 5 industries we can probably break down the customer types again based on what the do within that industry (these companies would require different types of products that we offer). So the way I want to label the industries is:
Industry A: Subcategory 1
Industry A: Subcategory 2
Industry B: Subcategory 1
Industry C: Subcategory 1
Etc...
I would also then allow picking of more than one industry in case a company maybe doesn't both A1 and A2.
Is there any reason I shouldn't do it this way? And is there a better way to break down the sub industries than what I'm trying to do here?
