Best Practice for Canceled Project?

I have a project that has been canceled. The client had made a partial payment as the deposit, which I recorded in Zoho Invoice. Since the project is canceled, I have refunded that partial payment.

What would be the best practice for recording this refund, closing this invoice, and indicating that this project is canceled?
