Ok I have a little issue and I think I need the help of an expert.
I have also opened a support ticket but while I wait to see if they can find the issue maybe a Books expert has an idea for me.
So we are based in Quebec and here we have customers who mainly use French and others English. So when they made the Books organisation and every template and items they made them bilingual. So as the company grows we want to change to a single language because we find that to be more professional.
So we made 2 templates for emails and invoices. But for the item we don't want to have double the items and if a salesperson makes a mistake and puts the English item in a french bill people will get mad.
So we came up with custom fields in the item so for example for the name i made a custom field called English Name.
As you can see in this screenshot.
So to make the templates for the invoice i asked that we enable custom HTML templates and the support was very nice and they enabled it.
So I made this template and I changed the %itemname% in the description to the custom field value (that I got going through the drop down at the top). I also added a custom field name Account Number and got the value the same way I did for the new item name.
You can see in this screenshot
But as you will see in the PDF the item one doesnt show and can’t figure out. I tried many ways to make it show and I also looked to see if the value was properly set. I did so using deluge with a zoho.books.getrecordbyID and it was fine.
So any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
