My users are now unable to edit product description when creating quote on the iPad app which makes it kind of useless. This is not a permissions issue as I can perform the same task on the iPhone app.

Create quote, try to edit the product description. It does not allow you to do this. If using iPhone app or Browser, you can edit this field.
