I have ran into several new bugs lately and a few areas that could use some flushing out.
1) If a web form posts and updates a field value, workflow automation flat out isn't being triggered. Regardless of how the rule is setup- if it is a "Field Update" or you specify when a record is created/edited or edited-
the rule never runs. You can trigger it by making a change in the UI. However, if the field value is updated by a web form (even the profile form) than the rule never runs.
2) The automation feature is key for the product, and it looks good until you really get into it. The workflow automation is super limiting because of the compartmental architecture of "modules". If I want to setup a rule which sends a different alert if a job applicant responds to a job that is on-hold and not accepting new applicants, then that is not possible- as the candidate module and job module are distinct. It would be a candidate module rule for new applicants but then there is no way to get the job status. Same goes if I want to setup the system to screen new candidates against job criteria- that's not really possible today. This product needs a real query builder. Also, the time-delay feature needs to have "minutes" added (say over 5 or so would be fine). It just lists hours and days right now.
3) Checkbox controls on web forms aren't getting saved. It took me several hours before I realized it is all check boxes on all web forms aren't getting saved in my case, even on the profile page. Multi select is fine, it is just regular check boxes. Even the e-mail opt-out / built-in fields are broken for me.
4) No BCC in e-mail templates- that was a big fail, as there is no way to BCC the Zoho dropbox e-mail.
5) E-Mail templates triggered from web forms or auto responders do not become part of the candidate record.
6) Ever since enabling the multi-currency feature, several new bugs came out on the career site to the point where it is pretty broken. The column headers for the job list show "USD" and "1.00000000" in the column data no matter what fields you add/choose. Also, the column order is not respected between the editor and the career site. Also, there is no way to even set the order of fields in the right column of job ads. The fields show up however they want.
7) The career site is not mobile optimized. This needs to be a priority. Also, users should not have to log-in to quick apply. That's an older model. A good option is they should get an account auto-created for them when they first apply linked to their e-mail.
8) Candidates can have multiple jobs associated with them. However, there is no way to plumb automation rules to that level as the "associated jobs" property is missing and can't be drilled into like it needs to. Single Candidate/Multi Job application scenarios are hurting. You can change the overall status of a candidate- but how do I approve a candidate for pursuing 1 job and no the other one? The point is that actions need to be handled at the per-candidate / per-job scope. There is this assumption in the system that the candidate only will pursue 1 job at a time and that is simply not true.
9) There is no way to bulk set candidate status using the macro feature. Missing property fields are an issue there as well.
10) I could really use a signature control on web forms. There is an assumption that web forms are only used to post resumes and have candidates apply for jobs, but they could be far more flexible than that. Having integrated document generation and signature taking would be excellent as recruiting is all about working with documents. You have all the pieces, but haven't tied it all together to really enable the end to end scenario here.
11) There is no way to attach a job description when sending e-mails without literally creating a file and marking the attachment category on the job which would be redundant work. It would be nice if this was auto-generated from the description and other fields. It would also be great to be able to apply templates instead of having to use the clone feature.
12) There is no way to create other actions like "Submit to client" in the pane. There are links to external apps sure, but no way to really define the actions that drive the workflow.
13) If you change the layout of the internal candidate form, it mucks up the layout of the public web forms. These should not be linked. I should be able to configure my internal form however I want without the grouping breaking the public form. The way it is setup you can't really configure the layout of your form how you want as the public form will always take precedence
14) The HTML Rich text editor used through-out the app needs to be upgrade for a better one. The current one has some odd wrapping and spacing behaviors which frequently break dynamic fields.
15) Tabs are not showing on some career pages. Specifically the web-form based ones (not job list type). I am only seeing 1 sign-up tab on it. Users should be able to add more pages/tabs too. Maybe put an option in settings to show on tab.
16) Please keep working on form/web-form configurability/adaptability, document management, and key is the workflow automation. That's where the real power/value potential is in the product IMO.
