CalDev not working / just disappeared?

CalDev not working / just disappeared?

CalDev account :
1: Just disappeared from my iPhone when adding a new calendar item directly on the iPhone at ~ 7:50 AM mst
2: Upon investigating found:
a: No CalDev account on iPhone now
b. Desktop shows all calendar entries still there except the last entered one
3: Won't verify a re-entering of the CalDev account on iPhone ("Cannot Connect Using SSL", and it won't verify without SSL "CalDAV account verification failed")
a: yes tested both the apple convention (calendar.zoho.com) and the zoho instructions (https://calendar.zoho.com) and 

I want to stress the only action I took was to add a single calendar entry and <poof> all stops working and in fact disappeared. VERY odd.
