Calendar invites from Contacts not being assigned to Account in CRM

Hi all
It's that time of year again when I try to get calendar and meetings sorted in CRM.

I have two way sync enabled. I have the option set to check for customer meeting invitation mail and to add them as meetings.

However, whilst those meetings show up in the Meetings list, they are never assigned to the Account to which the Contact is assigned. They show as having no Account assigned to them. This means we need to keep remembering to go through each meeting invite and assign it.

Is this meant to be the workflow? Should it assign it? I get that where the email is in use for several contacts then the Account setting may be ambiguous, but in this example the contact email is assigned to one contact, which is assigned to one account.

If I go to the Account page, and view the Open Activities, the meeting doesn't appear there. Nor in the Closed Activities section.

If I go to the Contacts page, the meeting *does* appear in the Invited Meetings section, so the CRM is assigning it, in some way, to the right contact.

What I want is to ensure that meetings received from a known contact are assigned to the Account record of that contact, where possible, so that management can pull up an account and see how often meetings are happening, or whether indeed they are happening at all.
