Calender Sync

We are thinking of cancelling zoho, too many things are not usable for example to sync the calender we must sync all past activities which in our case is over 1300. This then clutters the events with so much detail you can not find what you need. Is there a way to only sync current and future calender items and not past items? Is there a way to not view past items?
