Call Box Customization

Call Box Customization

I recently found out that when you relate a call to a campaign instead of account that the activity no longer shows on the account under closed activity.  I find this in error, as I am placing the call on the account, but I need to relate it to a campaign to track focus/service line of call.  

Why is the call box not customizable?  Is there an ETA when this may be available??
