I am looking to migrate from Google Apps mail to Zoho mail. I'm happy with Google, but I live in a country that restricts access to Google and I'd rather not have to jump through a lot of hoops just to check/reply to email. I've looked around and Zoho seems to be the best option for my situation. However, I'd like to have a trial period with Zoho before fully making the commitment and switching everything over. The IMAP migration seems straightforward, but the question is: does it allow for a testing period?
My perfect situation would be to have Zoho connected with Gmail in such a way that I can connect to either account to send and receive email. That way if it turns out that Zoho isn't working well from my country that I can look for other options without having to perform another migration away from Zoho.
I can see that Zoho migration allows other clients to access tho original account using IMAP and therefore it should stay in sync, so the question I have is can I stay in the migration state for an extended time and have email clients connected to both so I can make sure Zoho works without losing my current functionality? Or, once the migration is complete, does migration stop or the email in the original server get deleted?
Thanks,
Scott
