can I link pop3 account to thunderbird as imap?

hello,

thunderbird refuses (for the time being - perhaps I'm doing something wrong) to verify my @zoho.com email account on the following settings (the password IS correct):

imap.zoho.com      (port 993 SSL)
smtp.zoho.com      (port 465 SSL)

If there's a solution to this, will I be able to configure (procedure?) an IMAP connection thunderbird<>zoho.com to use thunderbird to check my email at the POP3 account I set up at zoho.com?
