Can't Connect to Server Error with Activesync

For the last 24 hours I have been unable to access my email from the iOS mail app on my iPhone.  IMAP on my desktop and via the browser on my iPhone both work fine.  In the mail app I get a "The connection to the server failed" error message.  I have the account set as an exchange account using the msync server and it's been working fine until yesterday.
