Can't set up zoho on my nexus 7 using K9 or aquamail

Aquamail is my preferred mail app on my Nexus 7. I tried to add my zoho account but I kept getting an error message even though I used the settings mentioned on zoho.com. I finally tried setting it up using K9 since zoho specifically mentions that app. Still didn't work.

I had no problem setting up zoho on my desktop using Thunderbird. I had no problem setting up various non-zoho email accounts on several mail apps on my Nexus 7 while I was experimenting to find the app and email provider I liked best.

I have emailed zoho support with screenshots but haven't got a response. Any help from anybody?
