Running into a bit of a problem here with regard to the Products module in Zoho CRM.  Our company hardware sales are based off of specific part numbers from various manufacturers.  We are not bulk commodity sellers, so each part we sell has a unique part number.  As such, we need the Product Name in the Products module to set to not allow duplicates to avoid duplicate parts getting added into this module.

The reason is the Quotes module and other functions in the CRM are using this field.  This is ok, however we would really need the name field to not allow for duplicate entries.

Since Product Name is a System Defined field, we cannot alter the properties of it. 

Rather than trying to build custom modules which several articles on here suggest, it would be much simpler if this field could be set to not allow duplicates.

Can this be done or is there another workaround?
