Can we add fields that are pick list and look up through API?

 According to the zoho crm documentation the following fields are picklist, lookups or check box.

Can we add values for a contact thrrought the api? what happens if a field contains a value that is not in the pick list or lookup reference tables?

 

 

Lead Source

Select the source of the lead, that is, from where the lead is generated.

Lead Status

Select the status of the lead from the drop-down list.

Campaign Source

Select the campaign related to the Lead

Lookup

Email Opt-out

Select the check-box to remove leads from your mailing list so that they will not receive any emails from your Zoho CRM account
